Ahebron, be bold and go for it. It takes a fair bit of pressure before you know they've started to move. If you've any problems or queries pm me your number and I'll give you a call. Just apply common sense and think safety as in use a secure jack etc.
Good luck and let's know how you get on. Thumbs Up Rehab is for quitters!!!

A bit like goping to the dentist, the anticipation is a lot worse than the job.
Shame it had taken since early September for me to do the job:roll:
Took about 30 minutes per side and the hardest bit was getting the damn car high enough to take the wheel off and leave the suspension extended.
As I mentioned above I made a tool that wound the old bush out and the new one in.
The car now rides as it did when I bought it.

After looking at UK photos of this job I am so glad we dont have salt on the roads here. Apart from when the tide is in Wink

Great write up and fantastic pictures. Thumbs Up

Just one thing to add and that is the bush is directional and has one chamfered edge. The bush should be fitted so that the chamfered edge is facing the rear of the vehicle.

I think people make this mistake of fitting these the wrong way around as it's easier to push against the flatter face on one side of the bush when re-fitting.

If this has gone into the Wiki, I think mention should be made that the chamfered edge of the bush goes to the rear as per the workshop manual instructions.
