SC grille & black badge is one thing. But to actually try and sell it as a Vogue is plain lying, when people come to look at it and see it's not Vogue spec they are guna be Censored right off.

Did you buy it thinking it was a Vogue SE and overpay chronically?

I can read your posts fine, I can also read the badge on the back of the car.

Let's see, it's badged a Vogue, yet it's not a Vogue. You think it's worth 17K Vogue prices, but it's not...

I think Dan thinks this is more appropriate: -

Sorry guys, have to say, as long as Bigl322 tells the prospective buyers its an SE and just badged as a Vogue SE it doesn't really matter. Loads of people on this forum have upgraded to SC grills and vents and upgraded their wheels because they think they look better and probably quite like the idea that people probably mistake them for a Supercharged, when they're not , so I can't really differentiate. Whoever Bigl322 bought the RR off didn't want everyone to know he/she had a lower spec car and so stuck Vogue SE on it ,not exactly the crime of the century. My RR Vogue SE is debadged (as it was when I bought it) so people will either think it is a low spec and I took the badge off, or a high spec and I didn't want anyone to notice. Either way I don't care as I didn't buy the car for oneupmanship, I bought it because I always wanted a RR from when I was a kid because I thought they were brilliant. The badge practice has gone on for years, or BMW have sold truckloads of BMW M5s over the years , but with extra skinny tyres! Laughing Steve

Plebs don't recognise the SC grille and vents as being for the SC. But they do recognise the Vogue as being top spec.

Now if you were selling your car on eBay or in Autotrader and a complete noob thought your Vogue SE badged SE was infact a V SE and they didn't know the diference would you tell them? If it meant they would walk away or knock 5K off the price?

Then that guy's going to be driving round telling all his mates he has a V SE and they are going to think, hmm vogues are Censored spec arent they.

I guess I feel as if somehow it devalues my car. I'm sorry, I'll try and get over it.

Laughing Dan - you make a valid point and we welcome your point of view, of course

though - surely bigl322 is entitled to stick whatever badges on HIS car that he wants etc. His original post only stated that it was an SE spec and at no point did he try to imply that it was a genuine Vogue SE spec RR when he asked our opinions on what we considered its value to be. Thumbs Up

but...

like you -I very much doubt he will acheive the £17K he thinks it might be worth and your valuations are probably much more realistic.

I expect it would be extremely unlikely bigl322 would/could ever try to con someone into thinking it was Vogue SE spec knowing full well it isn't , and I doubt any interested buyer would purchase this kind of vehicle without knowing exactly what they were buying in the first place?... But what do I know? Whistle

What I do know is - if some 'Pleb' was prepared to buy a car from me for £5K more than the vehicle was genuinely worth then yes - yes, I would definately take the cash - try and stop me! Laughing

I hope you get as much as you want/need for your car bigl322...but (without the prejudice) Dan has provided correct guide prices (with references) - which is what you asked for.
