Has anyone ever modified a Range Rover by installing a bigger engine?

but I did fit a 4.2 lump in a Series IIa along with autobox. Why? Two reasons , firstly because I had an iffy knee at the time, secondly because some one said I couldn't who should know better

Would I do it again.......... NO

Would I put a bigger engine in a FFRR..... No!

Just buy a scary overfinch, life is too short.
