Strange Interior Trim??

New one to this - Going to buy an L322, looking at '03 - '05 Vogues with up to 100K, for up to around £10-11K.

But, seen a few up for sale with a slightly different interior trim and just checking to see if they're some sort of weird import-type affair??

Main points are:
1. Grey dash bits where wood would normally be.
2. The end cap dash trims with the side air vents & passenger cup holder are also grey, and dont have the little round interior lights beneath the vents.

Like this....

These cars are showing as Vogues, and have all the other Voguey bits ie. heated rears, sunroof etc. And arent Autobiography, which may have explained the difference?

Some might say the grey is now a more modern look, but I think it looks cheap.

Can anyone help tell me why the difference?

Thanks v. much.

Usually the grey is reserved for the SE model which is lowest in range. Think lights only appeared on later models. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

It was possible to order an early Vogue with the grey trim but because it was primarily made for "police" spec SE it didn't have the holes for the lights like the wood trim . 2008 MY Supercharged

The foundry grey trim was an option on the vogue, we had it on our 54 plate vogue which had grey leather, looks much better than the wood with the grey leather IMHO, for some reason if you had the foundry you did not get the footwell lights. Hope this helps. 12MY Black FF VSE

Thanks very much for the info.

These are definitely Vogues. Like I said, I think all- grey looks more modern these days but still looks cheaper compared to the 'Gentlemans Club Walnut'.

Could always do the piano black stick-ons anyway!??

My hunt for the right one continues...

Cheers.

Replacement Piano black trim will cost you an arm and a leg.they would be for supercharged 4,2l L322.
Ask Craig he may able to sweeten the price but these are not cheap.

They look the part though.

Alternatively you could have a set of used wood trim painted lacquered and hand polished to replace the foundry ones.

Or have the foundry finish stripped off then polished the black plastic base.

I am looking for a mint dashboard end rhd foundry finisher by the way l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

I have a very early vogue march 2002 and this was the trim in mine.
I have changed the trim to walnut, you will be pleased to know that the trim lights are still wired and just plug in
