TDV8 engine chirp

What's this chirp?

Sounds slightly after putting your foot on the pedal, given the delay, turbo or EGR related?

Fan belt, tensioner? Alternator bearings? I wouldn't think turbo or EGR straight away...

It's just had new aux belt, pulleys, tensioners and alternator Confused

Reason I thought something engine based is the delay between applying the pedal and the chirp.

Warped exhaust manifold and/or broken stud in the head Big Cry

You may be "lucky", and it's only the turbo-manifold gasket leaking

Generally, it's the rearmost stud on the manifold, but you need to remove or manipulate the heatshield to see it

There was a horrendous bearing noise from alternator/pulleys, the alternator eventually failed so the whole lot was changed.

I think there is a fault with one of the new components Martin! Can someone drop the alternator belt off just to check the noise stops when run without those components working?

I have a dull whistle when under load, towing mainly but if I go heavy right foot too. sounds like it's coming from nearside of engine bay....any ideas ? Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........
