Just a few snaps from a 10 day trip to the sunny isle of Tiree. Can say it now we are back, but FF performed perfectly towing the tin tent and swallowed all the extra toys - 8 kites, 3 kite boards, surf board, kite buggy and a kayak (one of these decent inflatable jobs - really good) plus 3 cocker spaniels -didnt miss a beat. Really is a fabulous tow car.

I had a fabulous time out there when I went to see Staffa and Iona. Lovely sandy beaches as in the pics. Would love to go back.

Lovely pictures and opens up the debate in my head again on whether I should purchase a twin axle van for next season or a single axle....
All my van mates are saying single but I'm not convinced....... Regards

Thoroughly recommend Tiree for a relaxing, chill out holiday and if you like watersports there a couple of guys that do instruction/hire for kites, land yachts, sea kayaks, wind surfers etc. The only downside if you are taking a FF is make sure you fill up before going over - petrol is £1.55 a litre............. thankfully we only needed a couple of cans for the wee power gennie.

Anywhere you can park up by a beach that looks that good gets my vote..... Pity it's 590 miles away...... Regards

yep long trek north for you guys, only 110 miles for me and then 4.5 hours on the ferry. Guessing that sort of time would get you guys well into Europe. The weather on Tiree can be hit or miss, so far in 12 years of going only had one really crap trip where we came home early - fog and rain came in and after 4 days we'd had enough. Not alot to do when its poor weather.

I thought you couldn't tow a big Hobby with a regular tow car due to width ?

Width is ok now ,as regulations were updated a few years back to permit 2.5m wide to be towed by cars, its length that is still an issue, vast majority of twin axle Hobby's exceed the current 7m (excluding a frame) rule, unless you are towing with a commercial.
