I have been having problems with my audio system for quite a while now. I had changed my amp at the beginning of the year (second hand) as the sound had completely gone and it worked for a couple of months.
When it failed again it would just sit at the LR screen or occasionally go into the normal screens but no sound or car info (mpg etc). Then two days ago I thought I would try the radio and it worked but only sound from the radio on one station (nightmare radio 4 arggghhhhh). I cant choose any other station, I can't choose the cd or tv. The sat nav works and I can choose a destination. The screen is stuck on the audio choice screen for radio, cd, or tv and won't change or sometimes it is on the LR screen and won't move but the sound is still coming from the station radio 4.
I put the IIDtool on and it initially read the following error codes:
ACM - Audio System
U1A03 Vehicle configuration parameters
U2003 Fibre optic communication bus

AAM - Audio Amplifier
U3000 Control module

I cleared the faults and two of the errors came back U1A03 and U3000.
Any ideas what the control module is.
I think the U1A03 is because I have fitted a slightly newer amp XQK500105 instead of the XQK500103.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

They asked me to do the battery reset thing which I had done many times with no change. This time it was different the radio came back on but stuck on one station ( blooming radio 4, this car is trying to torture me). It intermittently would allow me to see the radio stations and do a scan but never let me change the stations. It would most of the time just sit on the land rover logo with the station playing and I had control of the volume from the steering controls. If it passes the logo I am able to power it down and the option screen will show radio, cd and TV but I can't select any of them. It still has the faults below except the U2003 fibre fault. GAP haven't told me what the codes mean, maybe they don't know. Traded in my Audi TT 225 for my Range Rover TD6 Autobiography in Java Black. Range Rover now sold.
