Bit steep, get in touch with Dan at Duckworths and give him your vin number should be nearly half that .
And since you have one working key you can program it your self . Thumbs Up 2008 MY Supercharged

^ What year is your FF?

Early vehicles can be programmes easily, later vehicles need to be done at the dealers

You can sync it yor self but not program it, if you have the old style 3 button non flip key then tthats what you will get back from the dealers, you can replace just the shell of you key to make it new or replace it with an aftermarket new style flip key, do a search on flip keys but bont be tempted in buying a unused one from ebay as it will already be programmed to a car and it wont be yours, dealers will not rewrite to a key.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Syncing is just the remote operation use for unlocking doors etc.
The RFID transponder inside the key needs to be programmed to be accepted by the immobiliser system or the car won't start.

Non dealer auto locksmiths should be able to 'clone' a working existing key.

You can programe up to 10 keys to your car, key one and two will be made and sold with the car, key three and four are kept on record,
when you order check what there policy is as if you order a key and they send out key three but due to a lost key you have key there the new one will kill the old as soon as you start and stop the car, they also can come pre cut..again if you have had a lock changed on the car it wont fit, all this they should have on record but I know of several people that it has happened to, shame you are so far away I could of done you a key and chip for less then 100, again dont be tempted with the keys from ebay, new never used bought in error ect...if they are ordered through a dealer they will be pre programmed and 100% useless, try a local auto locksmith you could half the the price V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.
