Apologies if I'm opening a can of worms, but is looking to upgrade my 2007 sat nav disc

What is the latest version I can run and what are the likely costs. Would prefer going the legit route but interested if copies work (just as a general observation)

Would be interested in the reply. Mine is 2004 Previous owner never used it. But then he thought the cupholder on the passenger side dash was a blanking plate for LHD.

Having looked at the thread title I would prefer an upgrade disc.  John

According to the MD near me 2014/15 map updates are now available sofar only through the MD for £169 both for DVD and hard drive based systems.

I am going to order one as the 2011/2012 ones are very much out of date which I learned the hard way driving in France...

i thought the 2014/15 update is only for the hard drive systems.. ... - .- -.

Apparently (Dan @ Duckworths said) that will be for current models, anything Pre 2010MY last map update available was that 11/12 unfortunately

Therefore the latest disc for my 2008MY is the 2011/2012 @ £132+vat

I have an MY2012 which I think is a Hard Disk version. How do I get it updated with the latest 2014/15 version.

I was passing through my local main dealer and asked a tech in passing (i.e. I was not on a service visit at the time) he showed me a DVD with the Map Version:20140501 labeled on it, But they said it was a bigger job than just inserting the disk.

I've asked the dealer I purchased the car from last month as mine is indicating it has maps from 20110502 and they said they are trying to locate me an up to date disc.

2014/15 maps are available from the dealers ...afaik there are two options to load these, via usb input or via fireire transfer .. ... - .- -.

the dealer supplies the software for the usb i think, i'd contact a dealer and ask..
