Great find!

No reference to service history though and the pricing is cloud cuckoo land.

One concern for me is driving it hard now, what is going to go pop through shock first?! 2006 4.2 SC

One mans average is another man's trip to the moon... What's average, 70k miles?

This year, try fitting an engine in to it, and you may do more than 56 miles as the mrs and kids won't have to push you around!! Whistle 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

So, an 8k miles [must be like a brand new car?] 4.2SC on a 2008 with a (surely negotiable) screen price of £25k ...

(or)

A 63k miles 5.0 on a 2009 at a seductive £28,500.

If you were in the market, what would you do?

^ Option B for me !
I wouldn't touch the low miles car with a barge pole, regardless of how much hype is in the ad . . .
Engineering is designed to be used - not stood around doing nothing . . .

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

Interesting perspectives and I get exactly what you say Tug although doubt that the less informed masses would select single figure miles behind say a 60 - 80k miles 4.2, unless the extra cost for the lower mileage was wholly disproportionate to the cost of an 'average miles' 4.2 car.

& ... verydisco, I was indeed referring to Gary Elliot's cracking looking 5.0SC on at £28.5k by way of comparison. For us, we don't need to be tempted away from the current 4.2 as we're now just about starting to enjoy uninterrupted use it after a challenging first 12 months and as it's had so much work done and benefits from a 2 year LR warranty, it's hopefully now asking to be enjoyed as well... touch wood.
Very Happy

Thumbs Up

Hi
Disagree with Tug, miles = ware = £ will need to be spent, I haven't found a car that doesn't ware out as you drive it yet!
RR gearboxes demonstrate this nicely...... no brainer for me I'd buy a low mileage any day of the week, Very Happy

Hi 87RJD, so would you buy the pre face lift 8k miles '08 4.2SC @ £25k in preference to the facelifted '09 5.0 @ £28.5k?
