What do you folks think of this? Worth it or not?

Does it have the same hi-res and functions as Stan's and others??

A hell of a lot cheaper than my GoPro black that I use with my weekend car so considering buying one of these cheap ones for the Rangie just to video in case of an accident.

Thanks chaps.

@Stan, what do the £63 ones have that this does not? I note it only takes 5-10 minutes then records over. Will the resolution be the same as your £63 one? Also, will this Lidl one be as imperceptible when mounted by the mirror?

@Bagus. I have a go pro black but can't seem to fit it anywhere safely.Where do you fit yours? (PICS?)oh, and I don't like the thought of leaving it in the car in view or having to take it off the mount every time I get out.

james, the £63 cam has h.264 video compression at 30 fps and has an ambarella a7 processor, this gives you a 'proper' full hd video and not interpolated hd like most cheaper dash cams..

Dolphinboy,

I mount the GoPro on the roof of my car or on the side window (outside). I have only used it a few times and use it mainly for taking videos of my early morning drives.

There are a few good windscreen mounts that you can buy.

James look at the 0801 they should be cheaper now as the 0803 is the newer version, I have the 0801 and is fine day and night, I have had to up date the firmwere twice and its been reliable since with no issues in the recording or play back. Don't bother with anything less than 1080p for the front cam though.

See dash cam forum uk for more info Thumbs Up
