Horn

A couple of blackbirds pecking away at a dead badger yesterday, they seemed oblivious to me gaining on them rapidly so I hooted them to save the mess and feathers everywhere.

But the horn was single tone......it was definitely twin tone a couple of weeks ago, that's definite!

I've just got the FF back from having some bits and bobs done which included the front bumper removal. Maybe it's a total cooncidence but my hunch is that it's linked.

Does anyone know if there is a connector for each horn? I.e. Has the connector just come off one of them? Or is it a single connector feeding both?

Also, can I get to it without removing wheel arch liners etc? 2006 4.2 SC

Very useful. Thanks. It refers to "Multiplugs" (plural) so I am guessing that one has been knocked at repair time. Either that or one hell of a coincidence!

Another thing to add to the list. Rolling Eyes 2006 4.2 SC

Funny old thing, when we bought our FF I thought the single tone horn let it down somewhat I've since discovered that it should be a 2 tone - another job for my list as well Big Cry 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

Not sure if this is helpful, but maybe for future readers.
You can see the horn in the bottom left of the image, behind the bar.

you can access the horn from either the wheel arch or bumper off, you don't need to do both.
I love how easy these cars are to work on.

I can't get mine to work.... Don't suppose anyone knows where the relay is? And is it really accessible?

SKOT there is only one connector for both horn, so it's possible that one horn has just packed up. You can only order them as a pair, so both will be new!

CBH25 the horn relay is in the engine bay fuse box. Big black cover with a ring of torx bolts on the bottom left of the engine bay as you look from the front of the car.
