Gotta say in Dan's defence that if it don't have Satnav, heated seats or steering wheel (Mine's an HSE and has all of these and more) then it's probably NOT a vogue (SE or otherwise.) |

IMHO the only 2005 SE model was the Range Rover Sport SE.

June 2005 price list has both TD6SE and 4.4V8SE listed -TD6 SE was £46000 and the V8 SE was £51000. The SE level appears to have been dropped for 2006MY. The 2003 TD6 that I had had everything you needed in a Range Rover, electric adjust heated seats, electrically adjusted and heated mirrors, nice leather, 18" alloys, etc - it just made do without the £2500 optional satnav, memory seats and a few other non-essential bits that the HSE had 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

But that's the point, you want 17K for an SE. Not the Vogue SE. If you read back through all the comments you will see the discussion was which variant you had, as you hadn't provided this info. I think you'll also find there is a lot of difference between the SE and the Vogue SE. You may think it's just Nav and heated seats, but that just goes to show the void in your knowledge. I on the other hand do know the difference between the different specs, as do other people who may want to buy your car. But now that you have provided the model, Wisebuysers.co.uk gives the following price for your model: Car valuation adjusted for 75,000 miles Retail: £12,578 The valuations quoted are prices you should aim to pay for a used car, not the advertised price. Private Good: £10,068 Private Average: £8,818 Private Poor: £7,938 Part Exchange: £9,568 Trade: £9,065 17K? No. The last 2005 Vogue SE that sold on eBay went for 15K. The last SE was unsold at a starting price of 10K Oh and the last SE that was sold "as good as a Vogue" sold for 8K |

dan if you read my first post it clearly states SE not vogue se ? and i was only pointing out the main bits that are not there in the se , if you think you can buy a facelift range rover for those prices i will buy 10 range rovers for that price if you can find them get a grip |

It may say SE, but others had assumed you meant Vogue SE, due to the money you were expecting! This was then where the debate had started, and I had merely stepped in to suggest that it may be an SE model rather than a Vogue SE. It's not what I think that counts, it's what the market thinks that counts. Wisebuyers, Parkers, Autotrader and eBay are your guides. You can check all of these for yourself, then perhaps you should go out and buy ten! |
