I brought a 08 TDV8 SE vogue when I got here in the hope of taking it back to OZ when all my dads stuff is sorted

as things stand at the moment it don't look like I will get the import approval from Oz customs

interested? (if I cant take it home)

G'Day axle

Ha the cook would kill me if I even suggested that...........The plan was A take it back when we go 3-5 months

but that aint gonna work

Plan B store it here MOT'd Taxed and insured at a relo's come back just before the 12 months up have a

holiday for a couple of months then I would have owned it for more than the 12 months and
could then export. But the consensus is that's not gonna work either (i think it should) but cook
and her brother (solicitor) reckons it wont because I haven't spent enough time out of Oz
Oz customs are a royal pain in the rear. Lets see what they say when I phone them up and put
the question.

G'day Axle

Yer that's what my cook an B-L reckon but when you read .Gov's website it says quote "must of owned the vehicle for 12 months" " must be available for your use".......so I reckoned I brought it used it for 3-4 months had to return to Oz house family job commitments etc...then returned to UK when the probate finishes anything from 6 to 12 months and my vehicle was ready fro me to use again .......

They are changing the import laws in Oz to more or less the same as NZ but that wont happen for a couple of years yet the white paper has only just gone up to parliament recommending the change

When I imported our cars they checked our passports along with a statement of all our travels in the qualifying year to make sure we weren't in Australia for any significant period prior to importing . 2008 MY Supercharged
