2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Epsom Green
Very Poorly Gearbox

Hi Gents,

So it would appear my gearbox has finally given up and will require some input of fun tokens to bring it back to life.

My question is; what to do?

Are brand new, non-rebuild/reconditioned OEM units available? If so anyone idea how much they would cost?
If not; what are the options and costs for a rebuild? I've had one quote from a company that comes quite highly recommended, at a cost of £1600 + £200 for a replacement oil cooler, using a brand new torque converter. I've also heard of RRPhill rebuilds costing less and taking longer (which would be fine).

Certainly I'm not the first to have issue, any words of wisdom or useful feedback from people that have been in my position?

4.4V8 Vogue.

Matt
