I unfortunately have 3 x 2011 Smart fortwo MHD's and one of them had a V-belt snap last night when one of the staff was half way to her home. Fortunately I had the FF with the car trailer with me to recover to my home overnight.

I have looked into this problem on-line and seen that its a very common inherent fault but wondered if any others have come across this, and what Mercedes Benz did regarding the repair / costs?

Now these are what you need ....

To drive "over and flatten" the other 2 pieces of in our fleet...yes yes yes....you ever driven one??...its like driving with your bum on the floor with the power of a food blender and zero suspension..thank god the lease expires in 2 months so we can get rid of them...horrid little machines that drain the life out of you  GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

Well, I have just dropped the little POS at Stratstone Mercedes of Leeds.

Booked it in yesterday to be told that "we're really busy so we'll look at it on Wednesday 30th July"....Good job its nothing urgent like a totally un-drivable car or anything I said sarcastically. Fortunately we have a spare pool car around right now, or i'd have to lend out the FF to one of the staff

They better repair it as a gesture out of warranty as its a "common known design fault" and the car is 2.5 years with only 15K on the clock and fully MD serviced, otherwise i'll have it de-logo'd, then re-logo'd with the full issue in bold text all over it, and leave it parked outside the premises on the main road for all to see....
