New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

Isolator switches should be factory fitted on FFRRs IMHO Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Craig is right about the wheel nuts though, make sure the proper nuts with the proper wheels are fitted !!!!

This car needs to be checked carefully because if those sort of issues are present, who knows what other stupid things have been done. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Buyer's beware... The 2006> wheels fitted have the pre 2005 wheel nuts (black painted not stainless & the wrong diameter) so are imho dangerous!

So would it be a simple case of fitting the correct bolts or is it too late?

The grey one doesn't have any service history. Just rang him and he said oh that's a mistake it doesn't have any service history.

Censored idiot.

This one looks lovely.. Is it an autobiography? Thought that was only for the newer ones?

My last 2 FFRR V8s averaged 13-14mpg. We don't do many miles but it still annoyed me that I was at the petrol station all the time and they're not even quick so LPG is a must this time.

What is the difference with the Autobiography? I can see the black piano trims and the seats look different?

Pretty sure the third one isn't an Autobiography -although it has been made to look like one with the piano black wood.

The first marketing use of the Autobiography name on the L322 was in November 2003 with a limited edition 4.4 V8 available in black or silver. They were factory specced and available on the UK market only. They have all been registered at the DVLA as Autobiography LE (Limited Edition) rather than Vogue. According to Land Rover there were 175 but DVLA says 181 were registered. They were all made in a 2/3 week period from the 8th November 2003. 63 were registered as 2003/53 with the majority being 04/53 and a handful on 04/04 being registered in March 2004. Four disappeared from the DVLA registration within 12 months - possibly press/test cars that were then crushed or returned to the factory for parts/rejection which perhaps ties in with the LR view that 175 were made.

They came with HK Logic 7, Piano black wood, Black Leather, Autobiography sills, Autobiography door badges and an optional rear seat DVD system (in the seat back, not the head rests). They do not come with an Autobiography plate under the bonnet as they weren't Landrover Special Vehicles.

I have the brochure and press release from Landrover somewhere - I'll see if I can scan it in at some point.

Of course this doesn't rule out it being a Special Vehicles Autobiography and only a plate under the bonnet would confirm that. Current Fleet:-

Based on dolphinboy's information I've slightly updated my previous response on the AB's. I will find the brochure and press release from LR about that model and upload it one day.

Rich - its a bit difficult to really comment without seeing the car - only you can be happy with the price and condition - for me the mileage is too high as I do 35k a year, but its maybe its different for you with your circumstances. You'll always be left with a car with a very high mileage and that might always proof more difficult to sell. You may also have to spend a little more on running repairs than you would on something with lower miles.

But, if you intend to keep it a while and do a lowish mileage it could be a smart move but I just saw an 04 4.4 with 140k on the clock sell for £5k - its a buyers market at the moment with the temperature and summer holidays. You can tell because the same high mileage V8's are listed week in and week out in the usual places. Current Fleet:-

Just to update a little more on my and Dolphinboy comments at the same time the Autobiography Limited Edition came out (late 2003), that LR did officially launch the AB programme - there is an old Auto Express article from November 2003 talking about the new Autobiography programme.

I can post the link if anyone is interested. Current Fleet:-
