I bought some TPMS valves off ebay over a year ago. Had them as spares (originals have a habit of snapping off when you check pressures) until I changed tyres which I did recently. Fitter put them in for no charge. Valves working fine and no more intermittent TPMS errors. Took a few days to settle down but all well now. 2012 5.0L S/C

Decided to go with new ones supplied by local independent. £180 plus £136.50 fitting including vat. I was slightly concerned the ones off ebay could be old stock.

Ok this is beyond a ing joke now. Just picked the car up having paid £316.50 for the pleasure of having the valves and censors replaced, halfway home and the front offside tyre decides to deflate. The valve seems extremely loose. Is this usual in a deflated tyre? |

Wouldn't make any difference at the mo as I don't have a pump with me. If when the recovery get here it turns out to be the valve again, my hourly rate for sitting here on my arse for another 2 hours is going to make theirs seem like minimum wage. This has just cost me dinner out with my daughter which I don't get to do very often and I'm seriously un ing happy |

Back home now. Anger is somewhere between volcanic and don't let me near any sharp objects or someone will get hurt.
