Personalised Number Plate

Two weeks ago I applied to the DVLA for to put the wife's number plate on retention , today I get her new V5 through the door with her new (old reggie ) , but there is no new tax disc or any other paperwork ..... So

Does she still drive about with her private plate on which coincides with her tax disc , does she let the insurance know there is a change of registration number .... Even tho her own plate is still on the car ...

Just seems odd they would only send out a V5 .... Shocked ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

Would say that the V5 is the one to go with, so just let the insurers know the new reg as per the V5... If plod do a check, it will come back as taxed on the new reg Thumbs Up GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

Tax disc et al comes separately, about a week for my last one but as stated, all systems will have V5 number allocated to vehicle Thumbs Up

Hi Joker,

Apparently the tax disc and amended MOT cert' come from a different department which isn't as fast to respond. Hence you get the V5C before the rest.

Put the plates on with the new (old) reg' but keep the tax disc until the new one turns up.

That was the advice our now closed DVLA office gave me.

Hope it helps,
RRR.
