United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey

Hence why the ff and SSRR a haven't had a manual option since fords inception and the others in the fleet are going the same way.

In white hat circles this has been brought up for a good few years now as the security is so weak it's untrue. This isn't helps by having to have odb compliance but they can still provide a lot better security but then it causes issues for after market diagnostics being done by none dealers.

Tesla currently have the best security record of any car with only 4 in 20k+ vehicles being stolen.

Add that most thefts are combos where the owners house is broken into for the keys still as it's just as easy but with this tech becoming more common the only winners will be the manufacturers. They sell more spare keys(or a Chinese copycat does) and they get another car bought out of it never mind parts sold for it.

Cars really need to be added to a blacklist with a manufacturer so when a vin is checked in the database it flags it up to the parts guy. This would work worldwide and make life that much more difficult for thieves and their helpers..

You can never 100% get rid of theft, just make it harder and harder for them and get certain states to have a more active role in the stopping of imported stolen vehicles. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Tesla might be lucky in the stolen ratings because it's a very rare car. Criminal folks usually like very common cars that they can easily flog bits off. Cars sold in large numbers and with parts interchangeable over a number of years are ideal. Whistle Land Rover Defender Whistle

I believe I had been victim to one of these devices, about two years ago, had the car riffled and taken items overnight, but in the morning the car was found locked with the alarm on.

Any way to stop this?

We need to have a talk or two over some wine and cheese Robert !!! Sounds like an interesting subject.

Would love though if the car thieves can be kept at bay more and more so we don't need Sharia punishment Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
