Smile Ummmm - before the car was wrapped maybe?! Laughing Wink

I saw this car about 6 months ago, driving along the M40 - it wasn't wrapped with Matt vinyl at that time.

Yes its wrapped with a vinyl film Scarey - it has become quite popular recently with supercar owners, mainly

a) for looks

&

b) to protect original paintwork of vehicle

I do this 'wrapping' myself, mainly for promotional / advertising reasons - but as a company we have decided it is not worth our time or effort to do private / individual cars, purely because there are far too many other firms doing the same thing with varied degrees of success. The technology is out there but, sadly, the skills are not - we have seen some very expensive mistakes on very expensive cars - purely because they were 'cheaper' than the reputable specialist firms.

Expect to pay min £2500+ for a professional job with some kind of insurance/warranty for the work completed, and the vinyl to last for a few years before it needs replacing. Wink

or

anything from £500 - 1000+ and have some scalpel wielding herbert, bodge some cheap, poor quality vinyl onto your pride and joy - then watch it peel and blister as the outside temperature changes, exposing the paint below with the knife wounds it received when the vinyl was 'fitted' the week before! Whistle

With regards to Thomas's car (whoever he is!) it does look like a very good job and it can only have been done recently because the bonnet has been done in one piece - Vinyl this wide has only been available within the last 3-4 months and is only supplied to certain fitters by a certain company.

It is also a good idea to have the vinyl a similar colour to the original colour of your car otherwise areas like the door shuts look a bit wrong.

Would you consider doing it to your car Scarey Question

I'm warming to Matte wrap but I think cars like the Ford Focus RS500 show that you need to leave some details in gloss to highlight it and avoid looking dirty or re-sprayed Army Defender look. 2008 MY Supercharged

Can't believe 'Gangsta' Thomas is selling up.

It was only the other week we passed company on the M25.

Actually think the price is quite attractive taking into account the spec Very Happy 2005 Audi A8 W12
