Years ago I saw this monster and loved the idea from day 1. Since I think the price is way too high, I decided to design my own 3 wheeler, based on the same principles a reverse trike, two seater with a Kawasaki ZX14 engine (from the bike I used for my 2007 USA motorbike trip).

In the mean time the availability of good e-motors etc. has substantially increased so the Kawa will be re-assembled when I get my container here (well that will probably take a few years ).

The trike will be finished when I get to a place where I have a proper workshop again (so not here). I have about 95% of the parts. It will NOT look like this but will be very similar in set-up. The design of the frame/suspension etc. are all my own, not in any way like this monster (mine is better of course ). And none of these ridiculous panniers of course.

By the way, that's not a reverse trike - that's the correct way round. No idea why people make them with one wheel at the front.

By the way, are you going to turbo the engine? It's a lot easier in a trike because there's more space for cooling.

No turbo, I plan to make it pure electric. If I would have used the Kwaka engine it would still be atmospheric because with this engine and the low weight it already is a mad machine. 200 bhp is enough for something that weighs some 400 kg and only have a single rear tyre. Breaking traction is easy, not smoking the tyre is HARD.

I was in one in Houston (at the end of the 2007 bike trip) the shop didn't let me drive it myself (and funnily enough I do understand why, even though I didn't like it). It is completely mental, the acceleration, speed, noise, handling are phenomenal.

The noise of the engine is not the exhaust but the mechanical noises of the engine and that is brilliant to listen to (well for me it is) as the engine is only 20 cm from your ear.

Unfortunately I never got to finish it in 2009 as I had to leave the place we were in (I was working as a contractor and the contract was shelved at the time) and in Nigeria I never had a proper workshop nor time (working 6 days per week).

I was hoping to finish it at the time and then test it against my friends VX/Opel (that is now supercharged). Not sure if that will even happen as I am not planning to ever return to the Netherlands  MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Originally I planned to use hub motors from PML Flightlink but unfortunately they only supply them to the big car manufacturers. Now I will just have a single 80 kW E-motor driving the rear wheel, so not the crazy levels of BHP the Kawa engine chucks out. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
