27.1 from mine last week and travelling at the same sort of conservative speeds, no matter how hard I boot it I can't get less than 24.9 average. One of my other petrol RR's is doing 9.9 - not good - local miles short journeys and off road.

24.9 ..... but that's what my 5.0SC got on my Scottish trip....... over 2 weeks.

Having said that a trip to Warsaw and back in my 4.2SC managed about 21ish....and that was driving foot to the floor on the limiter for a large proportion of the trip (where legal)... Land Rover Addict

Very few RR's are actually calibrated any where near close, including the diesels. Best to measure brim to brim and calculate it that way. There are certainly options in the 03 FFRR to adjust the calibration in the OBC menus.

Just thought it worth mentioning.

My TD6 06 according to the computer returns average of around 23mpg (uk gallon) mixed urban. Best on a run solo (no caravan) was 31mpg mainly motorway and dual carriageway over 140 miles.

I also enjoy the diesel prices over the cut which are considerably cheaper than unleaded.

For us the diesel is a no brainer... I'm with Clarkson on Petrol Rangies having been there and done it even explored the LPG route Whistle

Stirling to South Gyle Edinburgh and back this morning, coolish air, not a breath of wind and I got the Ave Consumption on the TC up to 34.1mpg sat on the cruise at a nice steady 70 on the M9...................... I accept though that the TC on my RRS was 2-3mpg optimistic when compared brim to brim with the spreadsheet I used to run. The 2010MY TDv8 shows between 31 and 34 in local driving between West Stirlingshire and Stirling and even allowing for the 2-3mpg error I so pleased with it being even better than the RRS that I haven't bothered to monitor the consumption with a spreadsheet, all my miles are private miles anyway so I pay for all the fuel myself. Even when I want to hustle the car along it's difficult to get the average consumption to fall below 28mpg, as soon as I started to drive hard in the RRS the consumption would drop to about 20-25mpg, TBH I don't need to rush around flat out in the FFRR, it's not that sort of car anyway! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

My 4.2 S/C shows 17.2mpg on the TC since I've owned it. I can get it up to 18.5mpg on a long run.
