Tim. Look absolutely Top Thumbs Up . Thanks for your efforts. What is usually a good deal stormer with wheels on ebay?

I would goode to have a permanent top thread with which wheels fit a FFFR and which ones not. Disco3 has it too. Tim's photos would be good start.

@mod could you do that? Daniel

And specially for Mounty, the 90 on anthracite ZU's with BFG MTR's just back from the tyre bay........... now you can see where I didn't wash it when I left the old LR Deep Dish Alloys on.................. Big Cry And also I haven't removed the blue tape that protects the logos on the sidewalls yet, I'll let nature do that for me in a couple of weeks when I next take her into the forests

I can forsee one problem with the new wheels................. no centres to cover the hub ends could be a bit iffy offroad where I go. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

The young lad at the tyre place I use didn't think the job he got was cool! First his boss made him change the wheels over out on the forecourt "in case any mud falls off onto the workshop floor!" , then somebody kept disconnecting the airlines just as the lad was getting going on undoing the wheelnuts, and then he snapped his socket extension trying to undo one of the rear passenger side wheel nuts........................... then he nearly put his back out lifting one of the old wheels into the back of the 90, not a good day for him until I handed him a £20 note for his troubles - these same guys supply most of my wheels and tyres and never charge for swapping over my wheels, so a donation to the coffee time biscuit box always goes down well! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

But it's handy for seeing if the bolts there need tightening, they come loose sometimes...

Only real problem I had was the size of the holes (only twice) allowed a branch to enter, which jammed the wheel up. It goes round and then meets the brake caliper.

We had a couple of cars running them last club outing and they had no problems - we generally don't have overhanging branches that low as we do maintenance on the wooded tracks hacking back the low down branches so that those with nice shiney cars don't get too much bramble rash, it the plastic front hub seal caps that I think may be a little vulnerable - might have to dig out some gaffer tape to give some extra protection over the centres 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

So,

is it a fact that the 18"s wont fit over the Brembo's on a FFRR?

btw, had anthacite ZU's on my black 90 with 285/75/16's BFG MT KM2's - looked awesome and drove as well as the previous BFG AT's!

Cheers

Nick, after the first drive up to Argyll from home on BFG MTR's the AT's that had been on it went to the back of my father's factory unit.................................. that was 8 years ago and they are still there! I find the car runs quieter at speed on the MT's than the AT's and I don't get stuck as easily off road in the mountains and forests of Argyll! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

They won't fit on an RRSport either and even some of the LR 19" wheels cannot be fitted over Brembos.........
But one style that will is the RRSport V spoke design as below which also fits FFRR's with Brembos

On a FFRR they look like this - note the wheel isn't fitted, just laid against the existing wheel

Another design from LR that also fits is the Disco3 HSE 6 spoke style like this

Most other LR 19" wheels will not fit over the caliper

Or just get some standard Land Rover FFRR Vogue 2006 onwards 19 inch alloys. Thumbs Up
As that's what the TDV8 Vogue came with.

Not someone in Addlestone.. but then you could mean me as i work in Weybridge..?? Car went to a chap up North.. and to be fair is taking it to a whole new level with VVT turbo, auto box, new brakes etc etc.. I think there will be a feature done in one of the magazines soon.

I am really missing Larry.. and feel another, perhaps less pretty one on the way for the winter!

Here he is the night before he left Sad

Bu**er! how do you attach pics? i am rubbish.. do i need a hosting site link?

OK here it is with the Stormer against the car................

Thanks to FFND, but I won't be fitting them until i return from my holiday out to one of the Hebridean Islands where there are only single track roads and very few passing places - would hate to offroad them on a verge and scuff them! The 90 is off to the tyre fitters tomorrow to have the Zu's fitted

Stormers look Cool Mr. Green Look forward to some pics later Thumbs Up
