Getting closer on the battery drain

I have had a sporadic battery drain for a while which as we all know can be a real pain. 99% of the time is fine but suddenly no battery at the most awkward times.

A chance encounter told me much more info as it was parked in an underground car park next to the attendant.

He mentioned that my sidelights and upper brake light were on all day and this fairly obviously killed the battery. Now side lights I could imagine if I had left them in the wrong setting but a high level brake with nobody in the car ??????

Sounds like I have a short/lcm issue somewhere.

Has anyone experienced anything similar ? 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography
