Thanks for the quick replys guys I was looking for a bit lower than 60-70,000 my TT has only covered 40,000 so I'd be looking for something with a similar mileage to that

The Facelift has the more modern DVD based touch screen nav which also does cool things like display off road wheel rotation and stuff as far as I know?.

Welcome to the forum andy, if you search there is the Buying Used article from last weeks Autocar mag posted in one of the threads and that will give you a good idea of what to look out for with the L322 Range Rover. Don't be too worried about high miles as these cars can take them and hide the miles very well if they are looked after. There were problems with early ones blowing front diffs - both the launch versions had BMW engines and they are as reliable as any other BMW unit, later cars have Jaguar and Ford/PSA Group engines re-engineered to suit Land Rover's needs. Land Rover is still honouring replacement front diffs claims as they were caused by a design fault. Watch out for cars that have been heavily offroaded - yes folks do take them off the tar and they are very very good in the rough stuff but they can suffer damage underneath. I don't think the Black with Blue leather was ever an option but there are loads of Black with Ivory or Parchment around. Have you thought about an early V8 Supercharged? OK the fuel consumption is frightening (anything between 9mpg and 15 on a good day!) but if you don't do a lot of annual miles they are great value used. As mentioned above full main dealer or specialist service history is everything and don't even think about going to a non Land Rover specialist forecourt to buy one - Range Rover, like all Land Rovers (including the low tech ones) are complex machines that really need a skilled/knowledgable person to look after them. There are plenty out there so don't fall in love with the first one you see................................... and there are other colours than Black!

yeah the performance is going to be quite different as my TT's top speed is 151mph compared with 111mph or the Range Rover but I'v always loved the Range Rovers looks Its so imposing and the Interior is so luxurious, If only I could afford to have both |

On pre 2006 cars you got your warranty invalidated if you were found to be running bigger than 19's, after 2006 20's became the "big" wheel. You can fit 26" wheels if you want to but the running gear isn't designed to hadnle them and you will also get a lot of engine vibration from the TD6 transmitted into the cabin running on bigger than 19" wheels. I would save the almost £3k of those wheels and put it aside for something else - you will find the ride on 18 and 19" wheels is almost magic carpet - you hear potholes but rarely feel them on those wheels as the sidewalls absorb the bumps. You see (and there are people here with them ) bigger wheels on their cars, they are prepared to accept the slightly worse ride for the looks. Just remember RR is the best part of 3 tonnes and the less rubber you have on the road the more damage you are likely to do to the rims, also any wheels/tyres you buy you must check they are weight rated rather than speed rated for the FFRR. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

Cheers dantheman for concurring ![]() Yes - some crossover models were fitted with touchscreen that early... ... then some were fitted with touchscreen and facelifted (correctly), ... then with additional restyled centre console, finally being fully transformed with introduction of TDV8 engine option - all occuring at 6 month intervals between 54plate and 56plate registrations |
