I'm undecided but my wife wants Scottish independence & so does her mother. Strange really cos I'm Scottish & my wife & mother in law are English, from Buckinghamshire

Bit OTT, its a journalists deliberate collection of the worst muppet's contributions, not exactly a fair representation of the Nations feelings... There are just as many hurtful and nasty comments that have been made in similar Neanderthal manner to supporters of the Yes vote..

It would be good if the Yes camp came out and roundly condemned the attitude of CyberNats. Sadly, they rarely do - Salmond even made light of the treatment of David Bowie and there was a senior SNP figure involved today in the slurring of an opponent of the Nationalist campaign.

Her argument was very eloquent, all of which I agreed with. This has probably confused those who can't read anything longer than a 1 syllable word! Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

No excuse for the sort of comments being made on Twitter and Facebook, however when a celeb such as JKR decides to "throw" a million quid at something as emotive as a Scottish independence vote then of course she is going to divide opinion. Her million quid will make absolutely no difference to the outcome so why put herself in the front line for potential abuse? If she so passionately believes in supporting the "NO" campaign then she could have donated anonymously and saved herself all of this grief.... I can never understand why celebs want to get involved in politics far better to do what they do best and leave that sort of thing to the numpties that we elect....just my opinion of course!! But I think it is rather insidious. The CyberNat attack dogs have stifled debate. If you were a business and were terrified about the economic consequences of independence, there is every incentive NOT to speak out. I think this is deliberate. Particularly as one of Salmond's office was found to be falsely smearing an opponent in the last few days. Salmond has been very loathe to condemn those who rant at pro-Unionists.
