Remote locking/unlocking won't work

Happened yesterday on my car and the wife's Volvo so interference is always a possibility but as of yesterday neither of my remote's work at all , tried resetting them ; nothing ,tried IID ; no faults the only thing is that the last time it worked I had to stand right by the rear nearside door to make the remote work . Starts fine and alarm and locks engage if I use the key in the door so suggestions gentlemen please ?
p.s car has been on a smart charger all night to eliminate batterie as well . 2008 MY Supercharged

External interference is a very distinct possibility, same thing happened to me twice when I parked my FFRR in a carpark next to a road construction site. When the road was completed and the site cleared the problem never repeated. I put it down to radio use on the site. Presumably you can still access your car with the manual key? If so try driving a few miles and try the remote again.
The same problem on two cars of different makes at the same time is too much of a coincidence for it to be faults occuring otherwise imo.

You would have thought it had to be interference but no it doesn't matter where i am in Perth just nothing , its almost like its not there ,cant find a lose connection, no faults and every thing working on the key . Heaven forbid I might have to go to the stealers Shocked
I'm constantly on the look out for a cascade of problems as that is the usual way but so far touch wood it's isolated . 2008 MY Supercharged

No mate nothing , my only guess is that the keys have completely lost their sync with the car but both at the same time? A week before this happened I bought a new garage door opener that uses the same os similar frequency but I don't know how this would affect it .Guess number two is the BCM is playing up and guess number three is a lose connection but I haven't found it yet .
Off to the stealers next week i'm afraid , any one got some Vaseline ? 2008 MY Supercharged

UPDATE

Took the old girl to the dealers today to have this problem looked at because it was flumixing me , And dully got a call to say " keys have died and two new once are $1700 Shocked
I said they were having a bubble and came and collected the car where the reception said definatly keys because their was no other answer . When I got home I had one more go at synching the keys and hay presto ,clunk whent the drivers door then quickly did the other .
Now time for a fun filled chat with their tech guy Twisted Evil 2008 MY Supercharged

Axle,

Good news on the keys working, that saves you a bit of money I guess.

Doesn't your car have the Homelink buttons on the rear view mirror that you can sync to the garage opener ?? That may resolve "issues" with an overly eager remote for the garage, interfering/upsetting the car keys.

Would be ridiculous though but hey, stranger things have happened !! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Have HomeLink but the soft wear is so out of date that any new doors built after about 2010 won't work , I did buy the gubbins to cure that problem but it wouldn't communicate withe the door opener or car soon thought it was just junk . 2008 MY Supercharged

Typical FFRR problem, behind the rest of the market by a few years. I wonder whether my 2010 would have an up to date Homelink as well (it is installed according to the build sheet).

Anyway, glad the key issue is sorted Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
