On ITv now, 2 min in and that bloody cyclist got me goat up already....hes having a go at every one else, Big bus just pulling away from drop off......and the cyclist IS on the wrong side of the road anyway squeezing between on coming traffic..... If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

I'm not saying that I necessarily ALWAYS agree with this type of sentiment - however, comma, living in rural Wales, we get a lot of cyclists down here in the summer, often in the form of cycling clubs, who seem to think that it is their right to ride 4 abreast on narrow country roads at 20 - 30 mph for mile after mile, never looking behind them at the mayhem they are causing, or thinking to pull over and allow faster traffic to pass.

If you read the highway code, it tells you NOT to ride more than 2 abreast, and in single file on narrow country roads, so if these idiots think they are a cut above everyone else, then yes, I do have an issue with them

I am not saying that we don't get sensible, responsible cyclists down here, who ride in single file, are aware of what is going on around them, and behave in a courteous manner, we do, but the lycra louts are i'm afraid very much in the majority

Another favourite is the motorcyclists who seem to think that the place for them to ride is on the white lines in the middle of the road, especially around corners. Again, not all motorcyclists do this, but I'm afraid that the majority do, hence the high number of fatalities we see down here in the summer months .

Then there are the speeding tankers, and timber lorries, who are driving too fast round the corners, and end up occupying my side of the road, on more than 1 occasion forcing me to drive on the grass verge, and twice nearly totalling me.

And don't even get me started on the people who come down from the cities on Holiday - used to straight wide roads and dual carriageways, then confronted with roads as they used to be, narrow, with some quite nasty bends, and limited opportunity to overtake.

They will of course do 90mph on the straights, to prevent you getting past them, but when it comes to the corners, on go the brakes, and we're all down to 20 mph - those of us who know the roads know what speeds the bends can safely be taken at, and where the really nasty ones are, so if people could only drive with courtesy, and allow others to pass when it is safe for them to do so, instead of having a 'you are not getting past me' dog in a manger style attitude, everyone's driving experience would be so much better.

So, while I would agree that there are bad road users in all classes, living down here, and seeing what I and many other locals see on a daily basis, it's a wonder we don't suffer from far more road rage!! - it's noticable how much more pleasant it is to drive down here in the 'off season'  2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

As previously said there are R. Souls on both sides. I've been beeped at by a middle aged <expletive> in a Faux by four (think it was something Nissan/Toyota ey,) for holding back on the way into Frodsham where there is a medium hill with double white lines on. There was a cyclist grinding his way up so I held back. Apparently Captain genius was not happy and thought I should have crossed an unbroken white on a corner!

As above I've also seen the '4 a breast mob' hogging the roads. Also in London the cycle couriers have insane deadlines and draconian late fees/punishments so they tend to ride with less than zero regard for their own or others' safety.

Also by us as it's relatively rural the local authority seldom ensure that the gutters are clear so I don't blame cyclists for being a few feet from the kerb. I don't believe I've been unduly delayed by waiting back for 30 seconds or so.

I've also had a car bumped by a cyclist trying to wobble his way down the inside at traffic lights. I told him to stop as I wanted his details. he called me a Terrence Watts and threatened me... It's hard to tell someone's size in a Discovery. He gave me details, apologised and ultimately paid for a repair.

Takes all sorts really, but I certainly wouldn't raise my blood pressure by watching that dross.

Having grown up on bicycles in the most bicycle friendly country in the world and having gone to school in "car hell due to cyclists" town of Delft, I think it is safe to say I understand both sides of the argument quite well.

To me every cyclist should just follow the bloody rules as should every driver/rider etc. (I also ride motorbikes a lot). That is what the rules are for so use them. I also lived in a part of the country with narrow roads and lots of lycra blobs on skinny tyres and hated it but I never tried to squeeze past, risking injury even though some of them do deserve to go in a Darwin award fashion. They are still human even if their mental and social skills are a bit lower on the Homo Sapiens scale and closer to the primates (actually I think primates should be insulted by my remark).

Next thing is pure and simple courtesy, empathy, understanding for the other people using the road. A bit of give and take goes a bloody long way and keeps tempers/heartrates and bloodpressures down but more importantly it allows a lot of people to go home unhurt and property going home undamaged.

If the police would be allowed/encouraged to spend more time on the street, less time doing paperwork (why the hell can't that be automated a lot more) and spending time on positive reinforcement as well (apparently working wonders in Canada), I think life would be a lot easier.

These idiot TV producers producing rubbish TV for the masses are not helping. Yes it will entertain the feeble of mind but it does NOT help creating a nicer place to live. It enforces negative behaviour and attitude only causing the place to get worse.

Living in Malaysia and Nigeria has shown me a different way of going about in traffic. Road rules are for "guidance" and need to be taken with a pinch of salt. People have a more open/flexible approach to each others behaviour and tempers hardly ever flare as one expects others to "bend the rules".

So either adopt the third world system and everyone be flexible about when and how to abide by the rules, or be flexible and relaxed when following the rules to the letter  MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Mayhem beyond belief BUT life goes on with none(very little) of this road rage B******S!  If you have nothing nice to say,say nothing at all.
