withdrawal symptoms

my fattie went in for some work to be done - replacement of rear suspension arms/bushes, brake discs, front suspension bushes and replacement of tappet cover gasket - its been almost a week now and i feel like crying because i'm missing it.

the only comfort is that all of the work done is for the selling dealer's account.

however at the moment I'm using a 2014 Defender 90 as courtesy car - eish talk about chalk and cheese

Hilux 1. - massive fuel leak, airbag recall.
Hilux 2. - failed proshaft UJ, failed diff input bearing (diff out and rebuilt) airbag recall.

Toyota : reliability of our Landcruiser in Nigeria was FAR worse than the 4.2. The RAV4 has had AC issues, suspension issues (nothing major) already and it is the same age as the 4.2.

Withdrawal symptoms re. FFRR getting worse with the 5.0 sitting in the UK and not knowing when it will be here (I resigned from my job so no idea where we are going next and no idea when the FFRR will be "with me"). Hoping my July 1, 2, 3 trip still goes ahead so I can go and drive it a bit Smile.

Cold front from Cape Town hahahahahaha I remember snow in Joburg last winter (or the one before ??) for the first time in 30+ years or so and my kids loved it. We didn't since the house had little heating, no insulation and we came from Nigeria !!! Woolen underwear it is then Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

oh what a pleasure - received her back this afternoon - not a moment too soon - as my back was killing me and my ears were aching from driving the Defender 90 that the dealer gave me to drive for the last 2 weeks.

she drives much smoother than before (maybe its just because that 90 was so noisy and uncomfortable), engine is quieter.

dealer put 2 brand new Pirelli Scorpion Zeros on at their cost. Btw all the other work was for their account - so all worked out well Mr. Green

eish Kurt - it was 2, yes 2 weeks that i had to drive that thing - yesterday i couldn't take it anymore and put some fire under the dealer's backside. apologies to the defender drivers, but that is one car i will never ever buy.

drove 650kms in it over the last 3 days - my back and ears could not stand it. and today i got a ticket for talking on my cell phone because it doesn't have bluetooth in it - but yeah its over and as said, I'm enjoying my car

according to dealer all the work as per my 1st post has been done as well as the tyres being replaced so yeah all good and well
