My 5.0 is coming up for its MOT next month. Does anyone know of a good place near Ash Vale Aldershot Farnborough area. The car is in tip top shape so just need a quick MOT and not long list "you have to replace all this sir" and that sort of "BS".

I'm not a UK resident so no idea how it works. Just want to rock up, do the MOT and off  MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Guava Land Rover in Guildford are excellent. Not too far from your location either. Maybe 20 minutes.

If you simply want an MOT and not necessarily any form of LR attachment, then pretty much any MOT station will suffice. There's loads about.

There is a place called Challenger 4x4 in Aldershot, though. LR specialist. Used them once on my 110 years ago. I hear good things but I wasn't that impressed. I imagine they're fine for an MOT. Si. <This is my name.

Eugene, just check the obvious things... Lights (all bulbs working) wiper blades are in good nick & washer bottle is not empty, tyres have no cuts in the sides and plenty of tread, seat belts have ZERO fraying on the edges... As yours is quite a new car, thats about all you (as an owner) can check that can fail... Then its keep your fingers crossed time

Thanks Craig. Front wiper blades are brand new (put them on myself), couldn't get the rear blade on as the bloody wiper is too high up underneath the spoiler ( ).

Tyres are virtually new and the rest I will check.

The rear 'blade can be done by switching the wiper on and cutting the ignition mid-sweep to leave the arm exposed around the vertical position.

Put the ignition on, put rear wiper on, get it to the bottom and turn off the ignition... The wiper arm should stay pointing wherever you turn the ignition off... Time it right ant it will be pointing at the tow bar and you can then easily change it

Tried that twice and didn't get it right. Need to work on my timing and didn't have time to play with it any longer at the time  MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Note about Challenger 4x4 - they don't do MoTs, they will do them but take the vehicle to a friend of theirs nearby who does do MoTs.

To be honest if you just want an MoT I'd just go for the quickest / cheapest option and KwikFit were the cheapest last time I MoTd the 110.
