Thanks Paul, it is the armature that LR were talking about that some did and didn't have when built. The Discovery was much easier as they all had the capability to have a detachable tow bar fitted but the electrics were extra, a much better way of doing it I think.

Have found a company we use at work who can supply and fit a detachable Westfalia tow bar with dedicated electrics for £500 which sounds pretty good to me!

I got my 2011/12 disc from Amazon for less than £20 and has worked fine when used for 6 months now. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

I managed to keep the one from the Disco so it's all updated and working nicely.

Alex, the only difference with the two tow bar years are the two exhaust hangers... You will need the later type my friend |
