hmmm, that didnt work then....is your battery fully charged and holding its charge? the ecus on the FF are very voltage sensitive and this could be the reason for your problem.. ... - .- -.

Hi Stan,

Yes, battery is in really good condition, holding charge, no problem there.

This has only occurred since disconnecting / reconnecting battery.

I've checked boot and there is no water ingress.

Worth disconnecting battery again ?

Anyone else in the Kent area that can help Go Beyond out with an IID tool (2005 RR)?

It will cost a few quid to register another VIN, but suspect there is an ECU fault that needs clearing SDV8 AB MY 2019

Basically as Stan's link but it wasn't the Blue Tooth unit that wasn't allowing the infrared signal through, it was the TMC unit.

Disconnected the two infrared cables and patched them together using the biro tube trick and bingo !

For anyone else that has this problem note that if you have the engine running and then start patching the infrared cables together and you hit on the correct one then the stereo will instantly burst into life which makes it a lot easier if you are doing it on your own.

What does the TMC box actually do ???

Great news, glad the biro trick worked. Thumbs Up TMC delivers traffic and travel info to the Sat Nav system using a digitally coded system via the Radio Data System or RDS. So live updates basically.

Cheers,
