Depending on the mineral content try vinegar - but test it on a hidden area of paint first as its mildly acidic in various strengths |

Vinegar is a good bet, it is how i remove the limescale build up from my taps, but careful with the strength, would as above test on a concealed area first to check it doesnt react with the clear coat.

Like NMJ says, use the soaked vinager (mixed with water to reduce the strength a bit) and leave it on for half hour goes at the time. Just repeat it. After every soak, use a lot of clean water to get everything off, asses the result and then do again. Small steps is the trick here I guess. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Thanks everyone tried white vinegar and it worked a treat. First tested on a small area to see if it reacted and nothing. The buildup removed in no time at all. Thanks for the great advice |

Does this trick work with the "sahara rain" deposits? I keep getting these water marks that seam to have eaten their way into the paint... Thanks in advance guys |

More for dissolving calcium, but worth a shot, so longs as you try it on an inconspicuous place first..... As they are small deposits should only take a minute or 2 soak. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
