Brake dust

Cleaned the car, looks great, in no time at all the wheels (especially the fronts) get covered in brake dust. I've just Superguarded them with their Alloy wheel protector spray. Anyone else got any magic tips for keeping the alloys looking good?

Cheers,

Apart from weekly/ every few days easy cleaning with a sponge and shampoo, is there a correlation between excessive brake dust and the type of pads being used... I swear that since changing to front Brembo discs and pads, the SC wheels (the inner rims in particular) do not get caked so quickly?

I've recently discovered these iron x products

korrosol seemed best value .
The most effective product ever for getting brake dust off, even the stubborn stuff on the inner rim, you know the bit we never bother cleaning Whistle Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

I must look into that. On the 4.2 I have just sold, the pads were replaced and the dust from the up front Brembo's was much reduced. This 5.0 seems to generate so much dust....maybe I should drive a bit slower Laughing SDV8 AB MY 2019

I have gen brembo pads on mine and they get dusty really quick?

The rears were not great either with trw pads on them, the new cheap and nasty eicher pads on the back seem less dusty, but might try some different pads on the front next time to compare the dust levels. I have some trw pads for the fronts i bought a while back so they will be going on next.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
