FFRR handling

Hi,

My wife has a 04 plate disco 2 with Goodyear tyres. I have a 56 plate TDV8 with Lota tyres (i didn't fit them ).
So, driving roung the back roads of Fife, i'm sure she could get somewhere before I do. Sometimes it feels like i'm driving a piano. Is this just down to the tyres or is the FFRR not good at corners.

Ff are not very good due to the weight transfer going into corners, I found mine made me very nervous when cornering, all the suspension components were ok so I think it's just the ff nature

Disco 2 with ace are great at corners, shame they never went any further with it, FFs and all like to lean as speed If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

D2 gets Active Cornering Enhancement FFRR does not!!! Simples...

Now drive them back to back in most other circumstances and your wifes D2 will feel antiquated in comparison...

A.C.E is great fun though...

Tyre profile and compound will of course make a difference, as will ride height. I have found that going from a 20-22" rim with road biased tyres has made my FF feel more planted. The 40 mm ride height drop has helped to reduce the COG too.

+1. Like Clarkson said: I'd rather walk home than to drive back in that! Another option is to buy the new L405, apparently it corners better but I prefer the look of the L322.

That was the biggest disappointment coming from a Disco 2 with A.C.E. to the FF.

The FF wouldn't stand a chance on the corners, despite having independent suspension.

I used to slide out the seat hanging on to the steering wheel in the D2. Like a go-kart in comparison.

Someone needs to transfer the ACE system to an FF as a nice little project.

My Uncle is a Police pursuit driving instructor for Derbyshire. He has a 3.0d BMW X5.

I asked him how plod drive the FF's fast, and "You can't really"..... came the reply. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
