United States 2011 Range Rover Supercharged 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

Well. I went and test drove them once again and I think I decided to get the FF Range Rover over the sport. Just feels nicer, and better quality. I'm wanting to get rid of my 2011 L322 (5.0 S/C) because I drive a lot, and it has about 120,000 miles. Wanting to get rid of it before I get to 135,000 mi because that's when my 2007 Range Rover had total air suspension failure and don't want to deal with that again so I'm just wanting to get a new one. Now I just need to decide between the normal S/C or spend another $40,000 on the Autobiography (or maybe just get an HSE?). Still can't really decide if I like look of the L405 over the L322. Current Cars -
2011 Range Rover Supercharged (mine)
2014 Mercedes GL-550 (wife's)
2014 Jaguar F-Type R (mine)
2012 Mercedes CLS63 (wife's)
2009 GMC Yukon Denali (shared)
2010 Land Rover LR2 (daughter's)
1994 Chevrolet S-10 custom drag racing truck (9 sec 1/4 mile; fast as hell)
2012 Lexus RX350 (wife's)

I suggest to look at all the options you would like and see if it is cheaper to have a HSE with options versus a AB with some stuff you don't need anyway Smile.

Have you looked at very low mileage 2012 L322s or maybe an odd new one lurking somewhere ??

Don't know if the springs got better over time but another option is, why not replace the struts/bags on the current one and keep using it for a while longer. I mean the 5.0 SC should be good for a few 100k miles I reckon (I intend to keep mine for a very long time, maybe let it turn into a classic that I just keep).

If you do like the L405 same or better than the L322, then of course the new one makes sense.

I like the L405 in its own right and understand it has become this shape due to the increasingly tough regulations on emissions, safety etc. If you compare it to the L322, I just like the shape / design of the L322 as it is so inspired on the Classic. I think the L322 is the best of both worlds, top notch car and looks of the Classic in a way it is both modern and timeless. The L405 is less of a timeless and iconic design to me. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Whatever you think of the way the L405 looks (and I don't think much), it is in virtually every measurable criteria a better vehicle than a late L322. Not surprising when the basic design is over a decade newer.

Have you driven a L405 for any reasonable distance? On what basis do you consider it to be a much better vehicle looks aside? I loved my 2010 SC but I am really struggling to think of any material way in which it was better than my L405.

Boot space is certainly one area where the new one is worse.

@neil, havnt drove one and dont expect to being a poor commoner...in my opinion the FF l322 has an iconic shape and looks like a range rover....although the l405 might be technically better its to 'euro' looking for me ..

my post was to answer the OP's request for an opinion.. ... - .- -.

You do need to drive them back to back. I had a 2012 L322 4.4TDV8 Diesel that was fully loaded as it was on the outrun and it doesn't come close to my L405 in so many areas. I couldn't go back now.

I really need to drive one soon (L405) because I find it difficult to imagine something driving better then my recent purchase (L322, 5.0 SC MY 2010.75). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

I am of the same mind, I need to drive one soon but in the meantime can one or two l405 owners give us the benefit of experience and detail some of the actual driving experience improvements over the l322. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20
I swear you will never see anything like this ever again....watch it..drink it in.
