@jmelvinbath

The BMW M57 is a potent unit and very tuneable.

If you are going to tune one of these units in an L322, it is advisable to uprate the torque converter to something like this... http://www.roadblaster.com.au/pages/RANGE%...L40-E.html

Turbodynamics can provide an uprated turbo...http://www.turbodynamics.co.uk/shop/mdx537-stage-1-hybrid-turbocharger-for-bmw-330d-x3-p-4869.html

Our M57's are fitted with Bosch's CP1 high pressure pump which is good for 300 bhp.

I am told we would need to change the injectors also as ours are fitted with the smallest units.

And then you need a good tuner who knows his way around the Bosch ECU and the M57 and has a 4wd dynamometer to work with.

Our engines are 177bhp and around 400nms in standard form. 280~320bhp and 550~600nm of torque should be easily attainable with the modifications above and the right guy programming.

These engines are very strong and are well capable of 400bhp plus.... but when they are performing correctly, their relentless rise in torque is amazing and great fun to drive 2008 Range Rover TDV8 435,000kms
If you want even more power, Jeremy Fearn fit a kit with a second intercooler, resulting in 250 bhp and 420 torques......

Thumbs Up
Unless he has changed his mind or can be persuaded otherwise Jeremy Fearm stop doing this modification some years ago.
Well thats what he told me about 2 years ago. Gearbox couldn't handle the power.
