Things my old car had that I wish my FFRR had...

Thought I'd start an obscure thread off - see how far we can go with it...

I wish my L322 Vogue SE has the same button on the key fob that switched the main beam lamps remotely that my old X-Type had... not so much "follow me home", but "help getting to my car when it's dark"...

I also wish is had global closing on all the windows (like the X-type) as well as the global opening. Tym

If it sticks, force it. If it breaks, it needs replacing anyway.

You L322 has it all mate, it just needs to be activated (or selected) at the dealer or via the (mandatory) IID tool Thumbs Up l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

My car closes all the windows and sunroof if you hold the lock button down on the key.......

Coming from a Discovery 2 TD5 ES, the rangie is a major downgrade in the cornering department, as it doesn't have ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement). Pretty much stops all body roll when cornering. I have to slow down for corners now Sad 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

As a matter of fact, the ACE was better than its replacement technology in the D3 that came out 3 years after the L322!

only problem is the ACE is noisy, too noisy for a L322, ok for a Disco (according to LR at least) l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Bashability, smaller hips and option for chunkier tyres (having already written off 2 brand new tyres on the FFRR after a couple of months of ownership).

(Previous car was a 300Tdi 110 - will be sorry to see it go when I eventually sell it...)

I wish my range dog had:
A more moderate drinking habit.
A CD player in the head unit.

I wish my Rangie had two things my M5 had:

A Head up Display - really miss that. (Had a Chevy Camaro Supersport on hire in San Francisco last week with one - really drove it home)

And:

A button on the Steering wheel that turns it into Mad Censored mode when you feel like it..

Laughing

I tried that, because that's how it worked on the X-Type, but it didn't do it on my RR. Tym

Need to keep the lock button pressed for closing windows ( and the unlock button for opening the windows and sunroof). If you release the button both motions will stop. Thumbs Up If it dont work.......burn it!

Electric tailgate operation and a similar bluetooth system to Audi which uses the car's antenna for mobile phone reception instead of relying on the phone's own antenna. Massively improves mobile phone signal strength when connected to the vehicle's bluetooth system

Stan, how does that work? Do you have to physically connect your phone to the antenna via a cable or is it connected via bluetooth? In my car there is no difference in mobile phone reception inside the car whether it is connected via bluetooth or not. My previous car was an Audi A8 and there was a huge improvement in mobile phone reception when the phone was connected to the car via bluetooth
