Just out of interest do the wipers and scuttle need removing as well as the A Pillar covers to get a new windscreen installed ?

I assume you get the headed screen as well on a pattern windscreen ?

On mine the spec is screen plus heated plus acoustic plus the sensor for the wipers so the full spec and made by pilkington same as the LR one

Scuttle and wipers have to come out!

The pilkington one is fine, no one will notice come resale time that it is not stamped LR, a lot of cars have replacement screens at some point, and pretty much so long as it doesnt leak, its the correct spec, and its fitted well it will have little or no affect on the value  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

All done by Autoglass took a while as they had wrong one apparently the heated screen terminal is in a different place ?? not sure about that
We shall see over the weekend as going up to see inlays in Derbyshire so lets see what the noise is like on the motorway ?

Had windscreen fitted by Autoglass and then put car in for mot at stealers and asked them to snag the install - all the clips on the a pillars were broken and the top seal had been bonded into the windscreen. Noise was none too good either. By the way cost of clips and repair at stealers was £95 +Vat.
Had a chat with Auto glass in Hounslow where the work was done and they booked car in for a warranty assessment when they saw it they booked it in for the following week for another windscreen as the one fitted had dropped??? anyway out come is that they replaced it all the clips and trim where necessary and did a good job they also reimbursed me the £95 +Vat so a bit of a hassle time wise but can't fault their customer service.
