2010 model year - worth it over 2007?

Hi there
I'm new here and actively on the hunt for a RR. I'm currently looking at earlyish TDV8s, with a budget of around £25k. However it strikes my that for an extra £4-5k I could probably get a 2010 version (i.e. with the revised dash). Question, is it worth the extra? A subjective one I know, but would be interested in any thoughts
Thanks

Yes but I won't get a 2007/08 car in the condition/mileage/spec I want for £14k... £20 - 25k is the norm it seems. 2010 from about £28k (poss with higher mileage)

I've had both, a 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE and now a 2010 Supercharged.

For the difference in price on the diesel you won't get the later 4.4 engine and you will get the lesser standard brakes on the 2010. A few have commented on this already so it's an issue to some.

The Nav is arguably quite a lot better on the 2010 being HD based. It's certainly faster to use. If you get one with the dual view screen your front seat passenger can watch TV or DVD on the move.

The Audio is also quite a bit better in terms of having the IPOD and USB connectivity (not sure if standard though).

The dash pod (speedo etc) is LCD on 2010. Great as long as you don't have expensive polarised sunglasses Banging Head

The rest is cosmetic really. I would have settled for either but this purchase was entirely based on exterior colour. It just happened to be a 2010 5.0 S/C Autobiography spec.

Now, depending on budget you ought to look at the difference in the 07 and 2011 TDV8. That 4.4 TDV8 is a monster and it gets other nice bits like paddle shift, 8-speed box, 6 pot Brembos etc. It's more of a functional uplift and also comes with a higher cost.

Gary you may well be right - but yours is £5k more, and I really want cream or beige leather... Sorry!

I just paid VERY similar money for a 2010 Autobiography with less miles from a LR main dealer. That's a grand or so on the strong side TBH.

Nice car. Clean & tidy. Not a bad buy and would service you well. I'd buy it if I was in the market for that colour.
