Has anyone found that their car suffers battery drain after swapping halogen/incandescent bulbs in any of the external light units (headlight, rear lights, indicators) with aftermarket LED upgrade bulbs?

nope..bulbs cant drain a battery if the circuit is switched off .. ... - .- -.

Despite all logic to the contrary i.e. circuit switched off, no cold monitoring, the amount of drain caused by an LED on a 110AH battery. I’m sure I had a similar problem when I exchanged the footwell bulbs for LEDS.

All the internal bulbs, with the exception of the footwell have now been re-fitted with LED’s and so far no problem.

The only thing I could think of was that these LED’s were somehow keeping one of the many ECU’s alive, and it was that, that was causing the drain.

Not logical at all, but since removing them all has been ok.
