Wales 2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Monte Carlo Blue

Shocked Shocked How much for a noisy oil burner and a heater thats c Censored p! As much as I like the good old work horse they are ( and a toy) I could never go back to one as a daily driver. Ive had the old 2.5 turbo D and 200tdi both in county spec, 200tdi was far the better engine but then saw the light and went Discovery 300 ! If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Wales 2006 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Bonatti Grey

I've run defenders as my daily drive for the last 20 odd years Thumbs Up .

My last one was a TD5 110 County Station Wagon, we did 2,000 miles in a fortnight the year before last going up the east coast of Scotland, over to orkney and back down the west coast towing our caravan.

Wrote it off on black ice at 3 am boxing day (they don't roll very well Whistle (although she did look after me as I walked away with hardly a scratch Very Happy

Insurance payout was very good, only lost 2k on what I had paid for her 4 years and 65,000 miles later Thumbs Up

looked at prices for good 56 plate (last of the TD5's) - 17 - 18K for a good one!! Rolling Eyes (saw plenty of 'dogs' for less though Whistle

So I finally saw the light, and bought my FF, loads more car for less money Mr. Green Mr. Green

Added bonus, SWMBO was overjoyed when she found out I wasn't getting another defender Very Happy

Although I loved my time in defenders, having had a FF no way could I go back to one as a daily drive now. Thumbs Up 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

Hi All

I have been viewing here for a while although I am usually on the Def2 forum.

As a Series LR, RRC and Defender owner over many years, I have to admit that the Defender is an acquired taste!

Modern Defenders are comfortable, even got heated seats now and a good heater, although nothing on a FFRR and the full armchair driving experience. Yes, I do get car envy!

But, although one day I might swap my 110XS Defender for a FFRR, the one car I would never sell is the Series 2A SWB. I only do a couple of thousand miles each year but when I want to put a smile on my face there is nothing to beat the sound and smell of the old girl.
