+1 on an older G Wagen with the factory recaro seats. Have to be a SWB base though, dont like the LWB.

Other half just ordered an SQ5, was between this and an F Type coupe - Jag was very, very nice but about £15k more than the SQ 5 once the options list had been raided. SQ5 is very rapid when it needs to be but feels very relaxed at the speed limit and a tad more practical for everyday use. Ended up selling the A4 Allroad to We Buy Any Car - really surprised on line valuation was just over £17400 and we got just over £17100 once you add the 3 months road tax refund back on and deduct their £99.99 admin fee. Best dealer would offer was £16250. All in all doing it this way has saved an extra £2700. All it took was a 10 minute appraisal and then back to Audi to negotiate. Luckily local dealer had a build slot for an SQ5 that could still be changed to our spec and it will be here in 7 weeks time. Very Happy

How can an SQ5 be comparable (or compared) to an F-Type Coupe?

Wasnt comparing them - these were the 2 that got on the final short list, totally different cars I agree but that was half the fun in deciding which one to finally go for. Ideal scenario would have been both...............

Start with the why...

the comfort, the feeling good factor, the high drivers position, the accelaration, design, fun per mile....
It must be....

2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I'd likely stay with he LR brand and have another discovery, or head back to an Audi A8 - both previous rides (disco 3 and A8 TDi quattro) were superb. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I wont be likely getting another fullfat not just due to extreme price here but roadtax of 1809 a year when im pillaged for tax already takes the goodness out of it. Therefore im likely to go for an XF 3.0 premium luxury next and just admire the handful of people here left that can afford to buy and run them. Thumbs Up Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Masarati Quattroporte, with the full auto that doesn't need a new clutch every 20 miles like the Duoselect. Possibly the new ghibli, but I haven't seen one in the flesh yet...

Oh, and because I think they are stunning, room for the kids, understated with rarity, and above all, sub £25k!
