I was reading an article last week about parking tickets in Manchester. They were saying that half a dozen individual driver had amassed a massive amount of tickets. 1 guy had had 110 tickets in a year. They were saying that they were all that rich that £30 was of no consequence to them, even 110 times!

Looking at that though I would have been tempted to put it in Off Road height and slide the thing off. It doesn't look to cover half the wheel so could probably be reversed out of.

The chain usually goes through the steering gear or round the wishbone, to stop exactly that. But the padlocks quite often come off with a sharp whack as they often use cheap ones. Or so I was informed... |

Thing is, as its a british car, the owner will be traced and sent a summons for non payment. Its a shame the same can't be said for the super rich billionaire arab kids that are currently flying their Veyrons & Lambos over in private jets, and using the London streets as free parking and racetracks at night, with middle eastern registration numbers so they evade prosecution. Now they can afford to pay to park! 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded |

Definitely not true! I've fell victim to the ridicuously complicated parking schemes in some areas of Manchester...... couple of examples: I parked in one area where it was free to park for 15 mins, a nearby traffic warder confirmed this, I parked, came back 10 mins later and was clamped! Asked why and although it is free for 15 mins, you have to get a free ticket from the machine to prove what time you arrived. I wrongly assumed a warden would come round once and note the cars and if they were still there more than 15 mins later then maybe a ticket but not a clamp! Ridiculous. I have also been towed from parking in a loading bay in which a police officer told me I could after 6pm.....turns out I couldn't!! I'm not too rich to worry about parking tickets nor arrogant and park where I want but I have been towed, clamped and ticketed a few times. |

This subject has just appeared on BBC London news - reporting how concerned / outraged the council are with these playboys with their super / hyperformance cars can flout the parking regulations in West London because the cars are registered overseas.

And something else Delamo, at least these wealthy young guys get out and use their cars on the public highway, unlike so many British owners of exotic cars who lock them away in an airconditioned garage (or worse a showing of room in their house) and maybe the only drive they ever get is from the garage to a covered truck to be taken for an annual service. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

Strange?? I park in loading bays all the time in Manchester at night, they usually have a sign saying you can after 6? I've also never known clamping for failing to pay and display (or free and display in your case). You must just be unlucky. You arent sha ing a traffic wardens wife are you?
