As discussed in another thread. From the facelifted 2010 onwards (electronic dash) it is the other way round I believe: one press to activate the alarm without the sensors and press twice to superlock: sensors activated. |

Or..........and this may not be an ideal situation........Unlock the car, open a door and close it again and it will stay unlocked + alarm off.

CSK is correct. On the key you will see a white padlock, with a red one behind - this indicates that a second press will super lock the car. Only one press will not activate internal sensors - useful if you need to leave dogs in the car etc. |

Thanks guys. I had pressed twice, hence alarm going off on the ship. In the end I had to leave it unlocked, but who was going to nick anything from a secure car deck? I know for the return though, so thanks again. |

I've now read the handbook properly ahead of the return voyage. To deactivate the alarm on 2010 and later car with the TFT instruments and smart key ignition you go into the vehicle settings menu and uncheck alarm. Simples. |
