Brake Bleeding

Morning all, Have had the dreaded 'sticky piston' issue on the N/s rear calliper. New pair of callipers and pads on way from Dan (should be here later today) Thumbs Up

I will obviously need to bleed the brakes once I have fitted the new callipers, and as there is no evidence that the brake fluid has ever been replaced, I intend to do this at the same time. I have a Gunsons 'easybleed' kit, which I used to use all the time on my Defender TD5 - but that didn't have the ABS etc. etc, just a 'bog standard' braking system.

So, the question is, can I use the pressure bleed kit to bleed the system, or will it affect the ABS or braking system. Question

If I can't use it, then I'll have to get SWMBO to sit in the driver's seat and press the pedal while I am bleeding the system Big Cry (it's much easier with the easybleed, as you can do it on your own Very Happy 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

I have just bled mine, probably the easiest car I have ever done.

You can get very easy access if you raise the suspension (May not need to dependant upon your alloys) and the easy bleed kit works well. There didn't seem to be anything complicated about it at all and mine is still stopping Very Happy 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE

+1 No problem using an Easy-Bleed system with an ABS equipped car, I used to do it all the time.
Much easier than using an "assistant" Thumbs Up
