Guys thinking of changing from 3.6 to a 4.4 tdv8 or getting a new ranger pick up to tow the van run kids about and get something for the boss to run back and forward to work Porsche Cayman, 3 series convertible etc?
Might be time for a change this would be the 3rd L322

The 4.4 TDV8 is good with the 8 speed box but I don't think that much better than the 3.6.

I find it's always the same story.......you fancy something else then within 6-9 months you are back in a LR!

I had a Cayman - lovely car - but needed towed up the hill by a tractor in the winter

The BMW estates are nice - but you've had one. The 3's are a but small but do come with 4x4 X drive.

If you really want a change. A new style Semi Skimmed! (I'll get my coat)

In the 4.4 guise you can drive it like you've stolen it and but also tow things and drive thru snow. Bonus!

You could do the reverse from me. Go from a TDV8 to a 5.0 SC (if you can find them, I couldn't). They go like stink on steroids

But stay with FFRR is my advice, once the bug is in the blood, no way are you going to get rid of it my friend.

I'd call it LIV : Landrover Immunodeficiency Virus. Any other car won't do once you have it and there is no other medicine than driving a LR product with the FFRR having the best healing properties IMHO. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

5.0 sc looked at a rimmini red one in parks landrover a couple of weeks ago but as I can only get 16-17mpg towing the tin tent and the boss can only manage 22mpg on her daily commute this is not a viable option, need to get her a job she can commute on the train then. Would love this but would get fed up filling it with fuel as you now you would plant the loud pedal every where you went.

New sport had a good look in one in parks last Saturday while waiting on the car was very impressed with looks and finish not so much the price tag £78k, juls says no way would she have another sport much preferred the new 405 in showroom £106k
Needs to learn to read price tags me thinks.

Now what you mean about the bug about RR was only in the sport 3 months and wanted a full fat again, when we had the 5 series all she wanted was a ffrr so can only see this going one way unless the daily commute mileage goes up.

I agree , this is coming from someone who has bought the sensible option and now has his awfull 4 mth old volvo xc60 on autotrader. stay with the FFRR swapping cars only cost money and nothing but nothing comes close to a RR. As soon as i can sell the volvo FFRR here we come.

Why not get the SC (big saving over the TDV8) and then a mileage mule that does good MPG but is banger money and just flip it every 6months when you or mrs gets bored of it? That way your not really going to lose much money on one, and even better keep them for a year and buy with a years MOT and Tax and run it till they run out. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
