I went from iPhone to a Samsung Note 2. Wanted a big screen phone.
As I'm all-Apple elsewhere the Android phone was and remains a right pain to integrate with all my Mac and iCloud stuff - it works, but it's painful and clunky compared to the all-Apple experience. If you're a PC user then either works well. Apart from the Apple integration and a very weak music player compared to iTunes, the Samsung's been good, and there are some Android things that are way better, not least the predictive keyboard, and the fact that you get numbers shown at the same time as letters on the keyboard.
