Lovin' my new laptop

I don't know if it's the hardware or the software but everything is really fast with it - boot up, page loading, app loading, even adobe flash loads without noticing. It's funny, because over the years I've not noticed computers getting faster since the early 2000's. The bloatware has always taken any hardware gains. At last progress again. It's so nice to use - apart from the mouse which is horrible.

I decided to spend a bit more than I planned and get a higher spec one - it's an Acer (so not premium) with an i7 quad core proc, 16gig of ram, a hard disk with some SSD memory, and a 17" 1920x1080 screen - so a big monster, but I already have a small travel laptop.

SSD all the way baby Smile every machine I put out now has at least 1 SSD for the main drive and when you give it to a new user and it boots up and logs then on for the first time they always go " you sure its not broke as that was too quick!" FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

^+1

I upgraded my Macbook Pro to an SSD drive and the boot up time is ridiculously short now.

Finally found the registry settings to stop the stupid sideswipe. Really good laptop spoiled by a stupid mouse. Synaptics - you are one stupid company.

SSD makes a big difference, but no point in a Microsoft world as it will soon get clagged up. A Unix based system is the only way to go. SDV8 AB MY 2019
